Fox Marie Myers
Fox Marie Myers was born January 14, 1939 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Hilda (Seigbert) and Frank Myers. She passed away June 12, 2019 at her home in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 29 days.
Fox, also known as "Grandma" and "G.G.", grew up in Pawhuska, Oklahoma where she attended school. She furthered her education completing her CNA training in Cleveland, Oklahoma. In 1955 she was married to Lewis Blankenship in Supulpa, Oklahoma. After their marriage they lived in Cleveland and Chickasha where she raised her children. After Lewis passed away in 1990 she moved to Cheyenne to be closer to her children and enjoy her retirement. Fox enjoyed fishing, arts and crafts, painting and spending time with her family and friends. She was described by her family as being a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved all children and never judged anyone. She was the family's "go-to" person that would help figure out problems and give wisdom when they needed it.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Terry Beavin, grandson, Lucas Green; great granddaughter, McKenzi Rae Wood; 1 sister and 1 brother.
She is survived by children, Rick Blankenship and wife, Beverly, Rush Springs, OK, Timmy Blankenship and wife, Erica, Rush Springs, OK, DeeDee Blankenship, Granite, OK and Shelley Blankenship, Elk City, OK; 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren 1 great great grandchild on the way and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Cheyenne First Baptist Church. Burial will be at Cheyenne Cemetery under the direction of Whinery Funeral Service. Condolences may be made online atwww.whineryfs.com
