Sayre Class of 2009 is 10 year honor class this alumni
Fifteen members of the Sayre Class of 2009 submitted bios for the 2019 alumni edition, they are the 10 year honor class. It was unknown at presstime if the class plans to get together for any activities but we hope to see them in town!
After graduating high school, I attended both OBU and SWOSU of Sayre. I have a 4 year old son named Corbin and a 3 year old daughter named Brooklynn. I work at First National Bank & Trust of Sayre and I am also a Diamond Leader with It Works Global! I spend most of my time with my kiddos. We play outside and we also take time to do one of my personal favorites- reading!
After graduating high school Trevor attended Francis Tuttle Community College and obtained his certification in Computer Programming and Software Design. He then returned to Sayre and worked at the Beckham County Sherriffs Office for two years as a Detention Deputy. He is currently working at Archrock as an Intermediate Material Handler.
Jackie Miller (Manning)
After high school she attended Western Oklahoma State College to play softball and graduated in 2011 with Associate in Science. She continued her education at Southwestern Oklahoma State College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training with a Minor in Allied Health in 2014. After college she moved back home to Sayre and in 2015 got married to Dakota Miller and started her job with First National Bank & Trust. Her family grew by one in 2017 when their daughter Emery was born. Some of her hobbies include riding horses, playing co-ed softball in the summer, going to the lake, watching any kind of sporting event and watching her little brother play football. She enjoys spending free time with family and friends and looks forward to chasing Emery around the ballfields when she is old enough to start playing.
After graduation I went to work for the City of Elk City as a Water Plant Operator, where I still am today. I also have spent the last 10 years as a firemen for Sayre Fire Department where I was recently voted as Chief. I married Sayre graduate Keeley (Reeves) Sanders in 2017. We make our home in the house my dad and I built South of town with our daughters, 5 year old Annie Elle and one year old Sadie. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, working with our cattle and fishing in Colorado.
Amy Stacher (Parker)
After high school Amy attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and earned an associates degree in business. She also obtained her cosmetology license from WTC and currently works at Reflections Salon. She is married to 2009 graduate, CJ Stacher. They reside in Sayre and enjoy traveling, camping, and spending time with their nieces and nephew.
After high school CJ used the degrees of training he earned from the Western Technology Center to pursue a career in diesel mechanics. He works as a mechanic for R&R Powerline in Sayre. In 2014 he married ‘09 graduate, Amy Parker, and they made their home in Sayre. CJ enjoys fishing, camping, traveling, and spoiling his wife.
Kari Payne ( Merrick)
After High-school I attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University graduating with a degree in Mass Communications in 2013. I Married Wade Payne in 2013 and we now have two children 4 year old Lena, and 10 month old Ian. We live in Sayre and dabble in the horse racing industry as well as a cow calf operation, we enjoy chasing nieces and nephews to sporting events, and watching our kiddos grow!
Krystal (Musgrove) Foote
After high school Krystal married 2008 graduate, John Foote. She spent sometime being a stay at home wife and mother while John pursued his career in the Air Force. She is now building her own career in the Air Force and will be finishing her college degree soon. Her and John have three children- 10 year old Konner, 8 year old Lucas, and 1 year old Sylvia. They reside in Tucson, AZ. They enjoy spending time as a family, hiking, and swimming.
After graduation, I went to WOSC to play college golf before transferring to OSU where I got my degree in mathematics. Despite fighting hard against it, I became a second generation Coach Brower. I’ve enjoyed teaching 6th grade math, coaching HS basketball, JH basketball, and JH golf for the past 5 years. I sell cupcakes on the side, casually. I enjoy being close to my family who I get to see every week. I make it a point to try to visit a new state every year, and at this point have nearly seen every state in the U.S. Then in all the spare time I can find, I am trying to buy my first house
Maegan Grace (Cox)
In the past 10 years since graduation, Maegan worked as a CNA at various places including Sayre Hospital, the VA Clinton division, a couple nursing homes and an assisted living facility. She has moved all around Oklahoma and even to Tennessee, where she was born, and back. She is now working at Via Christi Village in Blackwell, Oklahoma where she resides with her husband, Corey Grace and her 3 most favorite accomplishments, Gabriel (9), Jacee (5), and Konner(1 1/2).
Meagan Nation (Thompson)
Since high school she has pursed two of her passions in life, being a stay at home mom and has a successful photography business. She resides in Sayre with her husband Mark Nation and her greatest blessing her little 11 month old boy, Boone. She enjoys doing anything outdoors with her family, nieces and nephews ballgames, and running.
In 2011 Michael married his wife Hope, and in 2013 they welcomed their daughter Tylee into the world. They live in Sayre and Michael works at Thru Tubing Solutions. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking out, riding RZRs, and taking the boat out.
After high school Zack earned an associates degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He pursued a career with Pilot Travel Centers and is now the General Manager of the Flying J on Morgan Road in OKC. In his spare time Zack enjoys gaming, fishing, and traveling.
Ashley Gardner (Castleberry)
Ashley moved to Edmond, OK in 2009 where she attended the University of Central Oklahoma. She earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2013 and a Master’s in Public Administration in 2017. Ashley has worked professionally at UCO since June 2013 and is currently Bursar at the university. In 2015, she married Cole Gardner. They enjoy the camping in national parks and visiting Disney World.
Morgan Habern (Whinery)
Upon graduation from Sayre High School in the class of 2009, Morgan Whinery went on to obtain a degree in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma. At OU, Morgan earned a scholarship on the Women's Rowing Team and earned the academic honor of Big XII Commissioners Honor Roll. At OU she competed all over the country, more notably at the Head of the Charles in Boston and the Windermere Invitational in Seattle. Morgan was initiated into Kappa Kappa Gamma as a Beta Theta member. She will also graduate from Colorado State University as a Master of Business Administration with a Certificate of Applied Finance this May. Currently, Morgan works at Southwest Airlines in the department of employee training & leadership development as a Data Analyst. She lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband Ben Habern and their extremely spoiled puppy, Rooney.
