Local author details how God talks in newly published book
From a career as a CPA to real estate appraisals and now writer, Shannon McAbee seems to have come full circle in his career and in his personal life. Just when he thought he would grow old with the love of his life, God’s path took him through a journey of acceptance and forgiveness. The end result is his book, “Put Asunder.”
McAbee admits that he has never been a writer. He never dreamed he would write a book or poetry, but when he lost his marriage God comforted him with words. Words given to him as a means of listening to his sorrow and words given to him to help heal him.
“I had a God experience that overwhelmed me. He gave me things to write. It was His words with my feelings,” McAbee described the process of putting together his book.
He wants others to know that God still talks to them. It comes in different forms for different people, but he is assured that God is present and wants to talk to everyone. This is what he wants people to get out of reading his book.
“It isn’t about a bad marriage, but about how God took me from a bad place and through knowing his love helps heal the wounds,” he continued.
